CastelBigozzi, one of the oldest embattled castles of this area, rises on the land of Strove. In the Middle Ages this castle belonged to the ancestors of the old and noble Montanini family. Its coats of arms well recounts its history: a red shield, like the land that surrounds it, a black lion, symbol of courage and battles, glory and defeats. Historical chronicles in fact report that is was a place of refuge and protection for Ghibelline troops. Today, Relais CastelBigozzi is a tourist residence that offers hospitality to guests from the four corners of the world.
